The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for managing the maintenance program for a 4x1 Combined-Cycle Power Plant and two Conventional Boiler units in Parrish, Florida. Job SummaryThis position is responsible for executing both short-term and long-term maintenance strategies ensuring that all activities are conducted following corporate policies and all applicable local, state, and federal permits, codes, standards, and regulations. As a Leader this person will be responsible for the direct supervision and performance management of maintenance employees, both bargaining unit and exempt. The successful candidate will work with the Plant Manager to successfully implement the maintenance plan, ensuring that all budget targets are met. Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>Ensure a short-range maintenance work plan is effectively functioning as a cohesive plan across all plant departments, including planning, scheduling, procurement of materials and contract labor</li><li>Review and provide feedback on the long-term maintenance strategy</li><li>Responsible for all contract administration</li><li>Lead site for short notice outage planning to ensure budget optimization and effectiveness of all expenditures</li><li>Work with the Central Maintenance Team, site personnel and contractors as needed to plan and execute all major maintenance and other planned outages as site lead</li><li>Provide oversight and strategic direction for maintaining all maintenance procedures</li><li>Provide leadership and precise decisions when serving as on call manager</li><li>Set clear expectations for team members and contractors</li></ul> Behavioral Attributes<ul><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Must be safety oriented</li><li>Able to understand Business processes and apply to situation</li><li>The ability to handle complex situations under pressure</li><li>Must be a team player</li><li>Must be a self-starter with a strong bias for action</li></ul> Preferred Attributes &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>Knowledge and understanding of advanced power plant maintenance and operations</li><li>Planning and scheduling of complex tasks</li><li>Contract management experience a plus</li><li>Ability to manage multiple work scopes</li></ul> Additional Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manages associated capital and O&amp;M budgets</li><li>Responsible for work management backlog</li><li>Troubleshoot and analyze equipment performance deviations</li><li>Ensure site equipment is in excellent operational condition and available for use at all times</li></ul>
