Position Summary: Manage Supplier’s product and process evaluation regarding to the compliance according to the requirements of BW and our Customer.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Work together with suppliers to develop and implement best practices to improve the defect prevention and reduction in variation and waste.</li><li>Manage and coordinate suppliers on PPM improvement, problem solving, cost recovery due to quality issues and supplier’s  warranty indicators,</li><li>Report of KPIs in order to adhere to BorgWarner ETTS goals.</li><li>Solve production quality concerns through effective problem-solving methodologies including: --*Containment actions (Material identification, Material certification or re work, etc.)  *Root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa diagram, etc.) *Permanent Corrective Actions evaluation and Effectiveness verification. *Cost recovery for all scrap, internal and third-party sorting activities.</li><li><li>Assure, keep track and communicate PPAP timing to the team members.</li><li>Responsible that PPAP requirements are met and make sure the documentation is up to date in the assigned commodities.</li><li>Conduct Supplier Quality System Audits on site to meet BW and/or Customer’s specific Quality expectations/requirements.</li><li>Conduct Supplier Audits of Implemented Corrective Actions Plans, Special Characteristics and SPC Charts, etc.</li><li>Work closely with Suppliers to make improvements in processes in order to eliminate waste and drive non-value-added cost out of the supplier's system.</li><li>Review and make disposition on Supplier PPAP submissions.</li></ul>Job Profile &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree and experience.</li><li>Desirable minimum 5 years of experience in technical quality support, interaction with different levels of management of clients.</li><li>Desirable minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive, Automotive Systems, or technical field is required.</li><li>Able to demonstrate ability to navigate complex organizational matrix and effective communication skills.</li><li>Trained Auditor (IATF16949 preferred)</li><li>Strong understanding and experience of working to IATF16949 and ISO9000 standards.</li><li>Demonstrated working knowledge of core quality tools including Process control plans, process flow diagrams, FMEA, MSA, SPC. (Preferred)</li><li>Product and process knowledge of Manufacturing to Automotive tolerances (preferred).</li><li>Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (preferred).</li><li>Availability to travel.</li><li>Proficient, experienced and knowledgeable APQP processes and PPAP requirements. (Preferred)</li><li>Strong Statistical and analytical proficiency.
