Timmons Group is seeking an experienced Marketing Proposal Coordinator to join our dynamic Marketing Team in our Raleigh, NC location. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys collaborating with technical teams to develop winning proposals for a full-service civil engineering firm.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing proposals for an architecture or civil engineering firm.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Lead proposal efforts, for infrastructure pursuits, including RFP, RFQ, and SOQ responses for local, state, and federal clients—primarily in Virginia and North Carolina with occasional support in other markets.</li><li>Manage the full proposal process: schedule and lead kickoff/review meetings, set timelines, track deadlines, and coordinate team inputs.</li><li>Write, edit, and organize content—project descriptions, resumes, technical narratives, and executive summaries.</li><li>Collaborate with technical staff to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling, client-focused messaging.</li><li>Develop and maintain marketing collateral such as project sheets, staff bios, and boilerplate content.</li><li>Research market trends, track leads, and gather competitive intelligence to support business development.</li><li>Maintain accurate pursuit records and assist with CRM (Deltek Vantagepoint) updates.</li><li>Support business development activities, including events, award submissions, and digital content coordination.</li></ul>Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>2–5 years of experience developing proposals for civil engineering or AEC firm preferred.</li><li>Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, especially for technical and client-focused narratives.</li><li>Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).</li><li>Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM software is a plus.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field preferred but not required.</li><li>Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.</li></ul>If you’re passionate about helping technical teams tell their story and winning work that shapes our communities, we’d love to hear from you!
