Communicate and help solve actions around these KPI’s and how they can be improved.</li><li>Complete and support training for all new hires/transfers in the department area</li><li>Complete hand off’s (review current and pending work) with other maintenance team leaders during shift change.</li><li>Verify Dispatch data is accurate/current by end of shift.</li><li>Maintain the weekend and on-deck OT coverage rotation list.</li><li>Assist the supervisor with managing overtime for the team and your department.</li><li>Email a end of shift recap to the supervisor and submit by end of shift.</li><li>Provide team support within the department by effectively conducting start shift meetings, floor coverage, status of open orders and identifying training needs/opportunities for team based off observations and communication.</li><li>Encourage and facilitate the ongoing improvement of accuracy and organization of technical documentation (PM’s/instructions/drawings/manuals)</li><li>Foster positive working relationship with other departments (Engineering, Production, GSM, etc)</li><li>Actively participate in leadership developmental activities provided by BorgWarner</li><li>Support the team with staffing needs by being involved in the recruiting and interviewing process.</li><li>Own the performance of the departmental team:<ul><li>Identify and communicate skill developmental training opportunities for maintenance teams</li><li>Utilize company tools to escalate issues/performance</li><li>Effectively partner and communicate with management team</li></ul></li><li>Other duties defined by management team</li></ul>Standard Duties as a Maintenance Technician: <ul><li>Perform complex periodic maintenance on automated and other production systems and equipment using knowledge of solid state circuitry, electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers, etc.</li><li>Troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of production systems and equipment.</li><li>Perform equipment failure analysis and preventive maintenance</li><li>Work with the engineering staff and outside vendors regarding equipment installation, upgrades, and parts.</li><li>Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.</li><li>Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.</li><li>Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.</li><li>Cleans and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.</li><li>Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.</li><li>Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.</li><li>Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. - Preferred</li><li>Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.</li><li>Fabricate and repair counters, benches, guarding and other structures.</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines (electrical/mechanical)- Preferred</li><li>Knowledge of robotics, robotic controls, and vision systems- Preferred</li><li>Other duties as assigned by leadership team</li></ul>Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand up lifts.</li><li>Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment.</li><li>Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to assembly, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.</li><li>All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Working in a non-climate controlled environment.</li><li>Stepping up and down off PIT Equipment;
