BETA is seeking a passionate, outside-the-box thinker who will design, implement, and improve assembly processes for Alia manufacturing.  You will work with a bright and motivated cross-functional team, and deliver turnkey solutions to enable aerospace production at rate.  Your work will bring the highest safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing overall, long-term costs.  Your level of involvement will begin in the design phase of new programs all the way to stable, reliable production.</span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:</h3><ul><li>Own all parts manufacturing for your product focus area</li><li>Participate in periodic design and process reviews to ensure correct specifications and practices</li><li>Design assembly processes, tools, and equipment that are efficient and maintainable</li><li>Understand certification requirements and assess and reduce certification risks in the overall process</li><li>Commission production processes and equipment through factory and site acceptance testing</li><li>Submit, review, and approve any changes for continuous improvement of ongoing production</li><li>Support make/buy/return on investment analyses as required, validating external suppliers</li><li>Analyze production data to identify processes causing inefficiencies in overall process performance</li><li>Plan sufficient capacity to meet business targets for production output</li><li>Working with quality, design, and M&amp;P to disposition NCRs that occur during builds</li><li>Enable Inventory management through and troubleshooting ERP issues </li><li>Hands-on assembly of product when needed</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline</li><li>0-2+ years of professional experience defining assembly processes</li><li>Experience with operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment</li><li>Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure</li><li>Strong foundation of problem-solving skills, statistical process control, design of experiments, and simulation techniques</li><li>Understanding of design for assembly, lean manufacturing, and capacity planning techniques</li><li>Project management and leadership experience</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Willingness to travel domestically or internationally</li></ul><h3>Above and Beyond Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Self-motivation</li><li>Aerospace manufacturing experience</li><li>Exposure to rapid manufacturing growth and preferably startup experience</li><li>Lean Six Sigma experience</li><li>PLEX ERP system experience</li></ul><h3>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</h3><ul><li>Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We encourage all driven candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every listed qualification.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We are an equal opportunity employer.
