This role focuses on accounting receivables/accounts payable transactions, invoicing, data entry and any other miscellaneous tasks as needed as it relates to the completion of financial reports and audits.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Audit/approve weekly timesheets.</li> <li>Set up projects in accounting software (Deltek Vantagepoint).</li> <li>Maintain accurate project records of accounting transactions, including general ledger entries and supporting documentation throughout the life-cycle of the job.</li> <li>Support the monthly close process by gathering data, performing basic reconciliations, and preparing standard reports</li> <li>Complete on-demand/monthly invoicing for production departments; to include submittals of all invoices.</li> <li>Navigate client portals, pay-applications, etc.</li> <li>Complete collections for specific departments.</li> <li>Maintain professional communication and accurate record keeping.</li> <li>Monthly reporting, to include monitoring of customer accounts and overdue payments.</li> <li>Prepare and compile financial reports and schedules for internal use and audit support.</li> <li>Request and monitor client issued purchase orders (PO) and extra purchase orders (EPO).</li> <li>Research and monitor invoices for checks and deposits.</li> <li>Review and sign lien wavers (Hyphen and physical copies).</li> <li>Assist with draft pulling/distributions.</li> <li>Participate in cross-functional meetings to learn accounting processes and timelines, ensuring timely communication of data needs or issues.</li> <li>Assist with intercompany transaction tracking, accruals, and basic reconciliations.</li> <li>Participate in special projects or process improvement efforts under the guidance of more experienced accountants.</li> <li>Deltek training and implementation.</li> <li>Maintain data integrity and confidentiality while developing familiarity with accounting systems and tools.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent is required.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.</li> <li>1 year of relevant accounting experience, such as internships or early career roles is required.</li> <li>Foundational knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), with exposure to core processes such as journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.</li> <li>Basic familiarity with accounting systems, Microsoft Office, Deltek.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.</li> <li>Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to use technology/computer.</li> <li>Strong customer service and multi-tasking skills.</li> <li>Self-directed personality with the ability to pro-actively offer assistance and solutions is a must.</li> <li>Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, customers and the general public.</li> <li>Ability to follow directions and carry out instructions in both verbal and written form.</li> <li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.</li> <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business memos, periodicals, professional journals, proposals, technical procedures, and government regulations.</li></ul><h2>Travel Requirements</h2><ul> <li>This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities.
