Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for an O&amp;M Manager in Brazil to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future.To manage the Operations and Maintenance activities of a portfolio of PV Solar Plants in Brazil. To ensure the health and safety of all people and equipment under his/her control, whilst always ensuring maximum possible energy production. Main Responsabilities <ul> <li>Manage the Operations and Maintenance of all Solar PV Plants;</li> <li>Manage and take responsibility for Plant Safety in all aspects including legal appointments as required by law at all Plants;</li> <li>Help build a sound Safety and Quality Culture within O&amp;M;</li> <li>Manage all O&amp;M staff;</li> <li>Develop a good working environment and build a motivated O&amp;M team;</li> <li>Manage the O&amp;M HR function and support the plant managers/supervisors with HR functions;</li> <li>Manage training and development needs of Plant personnel;</li> <li>Accept and implement the relevant legal appointments in terms of the OHS Act or equivalent regulations and legislation;</li> <li>Visit and audit the functioning of all Solar PV plants;</li> <li>Implement the integrated resourcing strategy for all Plants;</li> <li>Analysis and reduction of equipment downtime across all Plants;</li> <li>Drive the effective management of warranty &amp; insurance claims;</li> <li>Drive and ensure the resolution of nonconformance and issues;</li> <li>Manage the effective handover of new Plants;</li> <li>Manage the implementation of the O&amp;M functions at new Plants;</li> <li>Ensure sound O&amp;M administration and document management;</li> <li>Communicate effectively with other departments, external contractors and management;</li> <li>Manage all related stakeholders – internal and external;</li> <li>Manage O&amp;M quality programs and drive continuous improvement across all Plants;</li> <li>Manage the standardised O&amp;M processes &amp; procedures;</li> <li>Manage a standardised HSSEQ system across all Solar PV Plants;</li> <li>Manage the HV/MV operating regulations across all Plants;</li> <li>Manage a Plant performance monitoring program (including, downtime, plant events, equipment failure analysis, Plant Availability, PR, etc.);</li> <li>Prepare the required reports to top management;</li> <li>Manage effective communication of Plant significant events to top management;</li> <li>Attend and support BOD meetings where required.</li></ul>Qualifications and Competencies<ul> <li>Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering;</li> <li>Knowledge of safety legislation and best practices GCC;</li> <li>Degree in renewable energy engineering;</li> <li>Registered with ECSA or equivalent institution</li> <li>Experience within the Renewable Energy environment;</li> <li>Work experience in the power generation or distribution environment;</li> <li>10 years’ appropriate experience in a relevant environment;</li> <li>Competency in pertinent plant electrical equipment such as Transformers, Inverters, Switchgear, Sub-station equipment, SCADA and network communication;</li> <li>Experience with HV Operating Regulations and Permit to Work systems;</li> <li>Experience with CMMS/ERP and Control &amp; Monitoring Centres;</li> <li>Language: fluent both written and spoken in English;</li> <li>Must be available to travel internationally as and when required;</li> <li>Must be able to work overtime according to operational needs, also evenings and nights if required;</li> <li>Valid drivers’ license.</li></ul>Personal characteristicsIt is part of every employee’s terms of reference to contribute to Scatec's vision: Improving our Future and adhere to our company values which are:<ul> <li>Predictable: demonstrate clear communication and listening skills, shares information in an open and honest way</li> <li>Driving results: demonstrate determination, pro-activeness, can prioritise and work independently</li> <li>Changemaker: demonstrate entrepreneurship, can challenge, fast learner, take initiates and adjust</li> <li>Working together: demonstrate teamwork, shares responsibilities, can compromise, has a can-do attitude</li></ul>We offerScatec is an exciting, innovative, and ambitious company operating in a growing industry.
