Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager with a “seller/doer” mindset for our Commercial Land Development Group in our Plano, TX office.  This individual will be instrumental in developing new business, managing client relationships, and successfully delivering projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at proposal writing, and possesses strong leadership skills to build and grow a team.Applicants should possess a diverse range of design skill sets and be well versed with state and local requirements in the project locations.  Excellent communicators with an ability to work in either a team or an individual setting will be strong candidates for this position.  This position will work with their team on sites ranging from 1AC – 300 AC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technology</li><li>Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems</li><li>Prepare specifications materials through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project.</li><li>Work to complete design details and plan sets</li><li>Perform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work or inspection</li><li>Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates</li><li>Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff</li><li>Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff</li></ul>Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience</li><li>Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business is preferred</li><li>Ideal candidates will have 8+ years experience in civil engineering related to commercial land development projects</li><li>Must have a thorough understanding of project accounting and demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time</li><li>Has experience in marketing and supervision of the technical work of others</li><li>Has a working knowledge of technical and office support software required to perform the essential functions of the position</li><li>Consistently presents a professional attitude towards clients and internal staff</li><li>Effectively communicates with others in the daily completion of tasks or assignments</li><li>Strives to achieve professional working relationships with others and shows a willingness to help others meet critical deadlines</li></ul>
