This position involves conducting detailed quality inspections, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and developing and implementing quality control plans. The Quality Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring junior quality staff. Duties &amp; Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Reporting: • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns • Generate reports on quality metrics and performance • Communicate findings and recommendations to management and team members • Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve data accuracy and completeness Quality Assurance: • Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations • Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement • Monitor and evaluate quality control processes and procedures Quality Control: • Perform inspections and tests on products, materials, and processes • Identify and document defects and nonconformities • Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards Process Improvement: • Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives • Train and educate employees on quality control processes and procedures • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of process improvement efforts High Impact Behaviors: • Continuous Professional Development: Professionals should be committed to lifelong learning, seeking out opportunities for self-improvement, and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. • Collaboration and Teamwork: Effective professionals understand the value of collaboration. Job Requirements:<ul><li>Completed National Senior Certificate or equivalent.</li><li>Completed diploma or degree in Quality Management or related field with exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience in quality management from similar industry.</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years' experience on regulatory standards related to Legal Metrology.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office programs.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).</li><li>In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.</li><li>Experience with inventory management software and systems.</li><li>Ability to develop and implement inventory optimization strategies.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
