These units provide a variety of industrial gas products to Air Products extensive array of customers through various pipelines and truck loading stations.The LaPorte facility is a 24/7 operation and incumbent must be willing to work overtime as required, and willing to take 24-hour on call responsibilities on a rotating basis.The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all equipment. On call rotation and must be willing to work overtime</li><li>Practical knowledge of machinery overhauls and refurbishment</li><li>Ability to perform alignments (Rotalign or equivalent) and read drawings.</li><li>Knowledge of various pumps and compressors.</li><li>Knowledge of equipment lubrication practices &amp; procedures.</li><li>Understand the properties, behaviors, and hazards of the equipment.</li><li>Demonstrate the practice of safe handling of hand tools and hand power tools typically and commonly used in maintenance tasks.</li><li>Must be able to learn how to operate facility forklifts, manlift and shop overhead crane.</li><li>Practice and demonstrate working knowledge of safe rigging and lifting procedures.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to work in an industrial environment which includes climbing ladders and steps in elevated work, get on scaffolding, get on manlift type equipment and wear PPE such as full body harness.</li><li>Must be able to wear supplied air and air purifying respiratory protection.</li><li>Able to work in confined spaces.</li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs.</li></ul>Join Air Products, where we proudly value the skills, dedication, and leadership that Veterans bring to the table.
