This role involves leading Mechanical Engineering testing, including planning, performing, analyzing, and reporting on design verification. You will execute tests using in-house equipment and external labs, collaborating with global teams in China, New Zealand, and the USA. The role requires creating high-quality reports and clear communication to convey testing status and issue resolution. Responsibilities include contributing to new electromechanical product development with a focus on testing (60%) and design (40%), managing projects, designing test plans for mechanical performance, and preparing prototypes. You will also design parts for various manufacturing processes, work on connector designs and ECAD/MCAD integrations, and perform failure analysis.</div><div style="margin-left:0.0px;"><strong></strong></div><div style="margin-left:0.0px;"><strong>Good To Have:</strong></div><ul><li>Experience with UL1741, UL9540, UL 9540A, UL 2743</li><li>Experience testing specific international standards (UL 6703, EN 60512, IEC 60529, etc.)</li><li>Exposure to electrical and electronic testing</li><li>Hands-on experience testing electromechanical products</li><li>Understanding of structural and thermal design</li><li>DFM, RCCA, Mold flow experience</li><li>Material selection knowledge</li><li>Experience in DFMEA</li><li>Experience in designing high-volume products</li><li>Previous experience in high-power and consumer products industries</li></ul><div style="margin-left:0.0px;"><strong>Must Have:</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical engineering</li><li>10+ years (BE/BS) or 8+ years (Masters) of industry experience</li><li>Knowledge of design for manufacture (injection molding, sheet metal, etc.)</li><li>Hands-on prototype and test sample preparation</li><li>Exposure to UL/IEC standards</li><li>Experience with SolidWorks</li><li>Ability to plan and lead DVT tasks independently</li><li>Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication</li></ul></div></div>
