<div>Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Zoox is responsible for advancing Zoox's policy and critical government affairs priorities through external engagement and advocacy with federal, state, and local elected officials and policymakers, regulators, and first responders. The team leads internal cross-functional collaboration with departments within Zoox, including Safety Policy and Strategy, Communications, and Legal, which are critical to obtaining and maintaining the regulatory approvals required to test and commercially deploy autonomous vehicles in dense urban environments. </div><div><br></div><div>The Policy and Regulatory Affairs Intern will have the unique opportunity to work with the Policy and Regulatory Affairs State Team, supporting the deployment of the Zoox robotaxi and leading independent policy research and analysis on autonomous vehicle state-level regulations.</div><div>  </div><div>As a summer 2026 Intern on the Policy and Regulatory Affairs State Team, you will have a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive, independent project on state-level autonomous vehicle policy. </div><br><br><h3>In this Role, You Will...</h3><ul><li>Have a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive, independent project on state-level autonomous vehicle policy</li><li>Have the chance to learn from industry-leading experts, gain critical insight into state-level political considerations for autonomous vehicles</li><li>Get an on-the-ground understanding of the regulatory processes enabling the deployment of a purpose-built robotaxi in some of America's densest and most congested cities</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree</li><li>Good academic standing</li><li>Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026</li><li>Ability to relocate to a city near Foster City, California for the duration of the internship</li><li>Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Prior work or significant internship experience in federal, state, or local government policy is required, and experience in California policy, legislative, or regulatory affairs is a bonus </li><li>Demonstrated leadership, project management, and organizational skills</li><li>Demonstrated examples of high-level research and policy analysis</li></ul><br><div><b style="font-size:11pt;">Compensation</b></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility.
