AECOM is looking for a Senior Chemist/Data Validation Specialist with experience validating data for organics and inorganics analyses. The position is based out of our Chelmsford, MA office, although the work may be done remotely. The selected candidate will be tasked with providing technical expertise and specialized consulting advice in Environmental Analytical Chemistry. The Chemist's primary role will be to prepare Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), validate analytical data, and write data validation reports. The Chemist will assist proposal teams with selection of analytical methodology, evaluate laboratory proposals, and establish QA/QC parameters. They will work with laboratories to ensure data meets technical requirements and project data quality objectives.  Strong interpersonal and technical writing skills are critical, as is the ability to work effectively with team members and independently. The selected candidate must be well organized, have the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time, and deliver on time and on budget. The job responsibilities for this position include those listed above and may also include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Lead laboratory solicitation, evaluation, and selection tasks.</li><li>Validate analytical data in accordance with published guidelines (DoD, NFG, Regional EPA)</li><li>Develop data validation procedures for unique analyses not addressed specifically in existing guidance documents.</li><li>Perform peer review of data validation reports and other project documents to ensure accuracy and consistency with project requirements.</li><li>Summarize analytical data quality in Data Usability Assessments (DUAs) at the conclusion of the project.</li><li>Provide training and guidance to entry and mid-level chemists.</li><li>Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with limited supervision.</li><li>Coordinate with Project Managers on a regular basis.</li></ul>
