In this position, you will report to the Vice President of Sales Operations and work closely with Finance, regional Sales VPs, and executive leadership. You will own the end-to-end process of creating and administering global sales commission plans, including drafting new plans, calculating accruals and payouts, and aligning commission structures with business priorities. This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring complex calculations, annual planning, operational precision and a strategic mindset.We are looking for someone who demonstrates:<ul><li>Excellent accounting, organizational and analytical skills</li><li>Deep understanding of Sales compensation planning and variable pay programs</li><li>High attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy and reporting prowess  </li><li>Ability to handle confidential data with integrity</li><li>Clear communication skills and executive presence</li><li>Initiative to drive process improvements and automation including moving to 3rd party software platform</li><li>Collaborative mindset across cross-functional teams</li><li>A results-driven, proactive attitude</li></ul>Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…<ul><li>Own and manage global Sales Commission administration across 150 to 200 individuals across 8 business units and 6 geographies with expected expansions</li><li>Collaborate with regional VPs of Sales to design, align, and execute customized commission plans</li><li>Draft, update, and manage future commission plan designs, ensuring fairness, scalability, alignment with business goals and efficient plan administration</li><li>Calculate and maintain quarterly accruals and payouts, ensuring alignment with Finance and Sales leadership</li><li>Partner with Finance and Key Executives to ensure commission policies are aligned with business strategy, long term planning and financial guidelines</li><li>Support audit and compliance processes for variable compensation</li><li>Proactively identify and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities and potential adoption of 3rd party software platform</li><li>Ensure timely and clear communication of plan structures and changes to individuals and teams field</li></ul>Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field</li><li>7+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Commissions, or Compensation Planning</li><li>Strong knowledge of incentive compensation principles and best practices</li><li>Proficiency with Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint and tools such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle</li><li>Strong analytical and financial modeling skills</li><li>High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive compensation data</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership</li></ul>Here are a few of our preferred experiences…<ul><li>Prior experience administering global commission plans</li><li>Familiarity with tools related to sales performance dashboards</li><li>Experience in a high-growth or business environment including equipment sales, services, SaaS, and other business models</li><li>Experience working in the renewable energy or technology sector is a plus</li><li>Knowledge of automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, VBA) for efficiency gains</li></ul>Nextracker offers a comprehensive benefits package.
