Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Performs all functions associated with the production and testing of Objective Lens Assemblies. </li><li>Performs all functions associated with the production of various Motorized Focus Assemblies. </li><li>Verify and record product identification and traceability</li><li>Visual inspection of finished parts used in the assemblies</li><li>Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents</li><li>Basic assembly drawings &amp; shop math (Trigonometry)</li><li>Review Bill of Materials for completeness and accuracy including accessories and spare parts list</li><li>Perform additional related duties as assigned</li></ul>Job Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum of 7 years’ experience performing Optical/Mechanical Assembly Production preferably in a defense, automotive or aerospace business</li><li>Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gage, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gage blocks, thread gages, torque drivers, and comparative standards</li><li>Visual inspection experience</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to understand and follow instructions</li><li>Independent; can work with limited supervision and direction.</li><li>Attention to detail</li></ul>Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.#FLIR  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
