Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assignedPosition Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Review project plans, specifications and other Owner provided documents.</li><li>Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.</li><li>Determine labor costs and construction equipment costs.</li><li>Prepare detailed estimates at conceptual and more detailed stages of projects.</li><li>Meet and maintain bidding and work schedules.</li><li>Analyze completed projects to identify, review, and understand variances over and under budget to inform future bidding and estimating activities.</li><li>Participate in regular pricing reviews of outgoing proposals.</li><li>Assist jobsite staff with estimates after bid award.</li><li>Maintain good relationship with peers, suppliers and subcontractors.</li><li>Supervise and train estimating staff (when applicable).</li><li>Serve as bridge between Business Development, Estimating, Precon, Engineering and Ops/Field teams to improve communication and transfer of information between groups; this may include attending/participating in BD to Precon handover meetings, Engineering kick-off meetings, and Constructability Review meetings.</li></ul>Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:<ul><li>Construction Management or Engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of estimating or related experience with 3 years of experience as an Estimator preferred.</li><li>Strong organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work individually as well as in a team.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work in stressful situations.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines.</li><li>Working knowledge of construction costs and principles.</li><li>Solar industry experience desired.</li><li>Strong background in the use and manipulation of Excel spreadsheets.</li><li>Strong sense of urgency.</li></ul>SOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
