Responsibilities / TasksWe are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Field Service Engineer to join our team. This is a UK field-based role that will involve regular travel across the country, including overnight stays and significant mileage. The role will also require participation in an on-call rota, covering one weekend in every eight.Core Responsibilities <ul><li>Servicing, maintaining, and repairing SFT Homogenizers and separation equipment at customer sites.</li><li>Communicating clearly with customers and keeping them informed during service visits.</li><li>Preparing for site visits by ensuring parts, tools, and equipment are ready and in good condition.</li><li>Using correct working methods and ensuring special tooling is clean, safe, and operational.</li><li>Supporting workshop-based service and repair work when required.</li><li>Keeping working areas clean and tidy and disposing of waste in line with guidelines.</li></ul>Professional Responsibilities <ul><li>Act professionally and courteously to deliver excellent customer service.</li><li>Build strong relationships with customers and positively promote the company at every interaction.</li></ul>Admin and Reporting<ul><li>Complete service reports accurately and on time.</li><li>Keep the Service Coordinator updated on your daily schedule.</li><li>Report any damage to tools, equipment, or vehicles promptly.</li></ul>Equipment &amp; Vehicle Care<ul><li>Look after company equipment and your service vehicle.</li><li>Ensure both are maintained according to manufacturer and lease requirements.</li></ul>Availability Requirements<ul><li>Some overtime and occasional weekend work to meet customer needs.</li><li>Participation in regular engineering team meetings.</li><li>Flexibility to support changing workloads in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>Development &amp; Growth<ul><li>Ongoing training to expand your technical knowledge.</li><li>Hands-on experience with a range of separation equipment and processes.</li></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications<ul><li>Qualified to a minimum City &amp; Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).</li><li>Strong mechanical knowledge is essential, with electrical knowledge considered a distinct advantage.</li><li>Solid understanding of health and safety practices within the workplace.</li><li>Experience servicing and upgrading high-pressure homogenisers, with typical pressure ranges from 100 to 2000 bar.</li><li>Ideally familiar with the dairy, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.</li><li>Ability to work carefully, methodically, and safely, both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK.
