<div>    <h3><strong>Purpose of the Role</strong></h3><p>This role will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day care of the beef herd at Windsor. You’ll be working alongside a small, dedicated team committed to delivering the highest standards of welfare to our special pedigree cattle.</p><h3><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Animal Health &amp; Welfare:</strong> Monitor the condition and health of cattle and pigs, treating signs of illness or injury, administering vaccinations and medications, and liaising with veterinarians when necessary.</li><li><strong>Feeding &amp; Nutrition:</strong> Ensure animals have sufficient feed and fresh water. Tasks include weighing and mixing feed, operating feeding machinery (e.g. TMR mixer wagons), and managing rotational grazing systems.</li><li><strong>Husbandry:</strong> Perform routine tasks such as tagging, handling, and moving cattle with minimal stress. Includes calf rearing and disbudding for younger animals.</li><li><strong>Breeding &amp; Calving:</strong> Support breeding programmes, monitor pregnant cattle, and assist during calving.</li><li><strong>Record-Keeping:</strong> Maintain accurate records of treatments, weights, and movements using digital systems.</li><li><strong>Equipment Operation:</strong> Safely operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors and telehandlers.</li><li><strong>Farm Maintenance:</strong> Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of buildings, pens, and equipment to uphold biosecurity standards.</li><li><strong>Shipping &amp; Receiving:</strong> Manage the arrival and departure of cattle, including scanning EID tags.</li><li><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:</strong> Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating work programmes as needed.</li><li><strong>Team Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with the team to foster a positive working environment and support biodiversity and conservation goals.</li></ul><h3><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>Previous experience working with livestock, especially cattle.</li><li>Understanding of organic farming principles (advantageous but not essential).</li><li>Knowledge of land-based health &amp; safety and biosecurity practices.</li><li>Experience in conservation management and grassland care.</li><li>Strong communication skills across all levels and with external partners.</li><li>Attention to detail in monitoring herd health and operations.</li><li>Level 2 Apprenticeship or Diploma in Agriculture (or equivalent) desirable.</li><li>Willingness to work irregular hours as needed.</li><li>Full manual driving licence; telehandler certification may be required.</li><li>Proficiency with farm technology and digital record-keeping.</li><li>First aid qualification.</li></ul>  </div>
