Summary of Position The Quality Technician II is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and compliance of products or services within a company. This position is typically a more advanced role than Quality Technician I, requiring a higher level of expertise and experience in quality control and assurance processes. This position is for Pitman Night shift, a rotating 12-hour shift that runs 6pm-6am.Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods </li><li>Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements </li><li>Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods </li><li>Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database </li><li>Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence </li><li>Proposing improvements to the production process </li><li>Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet standards </li><li>Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs </li><li>Perform testing at various stages on the manufacturing line </li><li>Collecting and compiling statistical quality data </li><li>Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans </li><li>Determining the root causes of product defects and scrap </li><li>Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly </li><li>Perform quality controls following the Work Instructions (WI’s) on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products. </li><li>Suggest improvements of the WI’s in order to reduce scraps and improve the performance of the finished product. </li><li>Improve the capacity for in-depth analysis and improvement of the process. </li><li>Continually support the Production staff on WI’s, quality and process issues in cooperation with Management. </li><li>Create statistical analysis and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished product as required.  </li><li>Utilize and maintain the supplied instruments of measurement according to WI and safety standards. </li><li>Monitor and suggest improvements to Management on the production recipes for the various steps of the process. </li><li>Monitor and audit operations, suggesting improvements to the tools of quality control used in the production line </li><li>Provide hourly reports to management via email </li></ul>
