Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a creative and highly talented engineer to work as a project design engineer on a variety of stormwater infrastructure and natural resources engineering planning and design projects in our Arlington, VA office. The ideal candidate will have experience with municipal, state, and federal stormwater programs and stormwater and water resources planning, design, and implementation. In this role, the successful candidate will work with project leads on a variety of water resources and stormwater engineering projects in support of AECOM’s federal, state, and municipal clients. Experience working in a firm environment and working on projects of a highly technical nature will be essential to serve effectively in this position. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity for some field work along with technical design to provide a balance of on-site and off-site experience.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Serve as a design engineer for stormwater planning, design, and implementation projects.</li><li>Work with multiple task order and MSA/on-call proposals.</li><li>Apply technical knowledge of design and construction drawings and documents for stormwater infrastructure projects (including green stormwater infrastructure and nature-based solutions).</li><li>Assist in bid and construction phase services for a variety of clients.</li><li>Provide technical review of project deliverables.</li><li>Maintain existing client relationships and contracts through successful project delivery.</li><li>Assist with developing new clients to grow water resources practice statewide and across the southeast and Mid-Atlantic.</li><li>Attend client meetings and coordinate with regulatory agencies.</li><li>Coordinate with AECOM project team members (and subcontractors when used).</li><li>Provide technical expertise in the areas of environmental and stormwater management research, field work, stormwater analysis, monitoring, and water quality and watershed modeling.</li><li>Participate in local and regional water resources organizations, as appropriate on behalf of AECOM.</li><li>Some local travel will be required; occasional travel outside of local area may be required.</li></ul><ul></ul>
