The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&amp;C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.</p><p></p><p>The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.</p><p></p><p>The project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.</p><p></p><p>Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking dedicated <b>Quality Engineers </b>with experience in <b>Electrical or Civil</b> scopes, to share their expertise within our growing Energy Hubs and Substations team.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Review client specifications and develop ITPs &amp; ITCs that reflect the client’s requirements.</li><li>Ensure ITPs &amp; ITCs are completed to a high level of quality, across all projects.</li><li>Provide ongoing reporting to the project team and/or client on project quality issues.</li><li>Ensure work lots are opened in a systematic manner, monitored, and closed out in a timely manner.</li><li>Ensure NCRs are well formulated, thorough and provide sufficient details to enable a quick response and close out.</li><li>Liaise with the client’s quality department and attend the weekly QA coordination meetings for the Project.</li><li>Supervise and/or carry out the detailed assessment of products and their components at different stages of production.</li><li>Develop, implement, and monitor the Project’s Quality Management Plan</li><li>Undertake off site manufacturing audits and inspections to ensure compliance with the Project’s specifications.</li><li>Maintain the Projects quality audit schedule.</li><li>Investigate causal issues &amp; implement corrective actions to mitigate against repeats of the same issues.</li><li>Provide ongoing support to the project teams to assist them implement quality standards in their day-to-day work.</li><li>Oversee fabrication processes by both the company and subcontractors to ensure it meets client specifications.</li><li>Conduct Quality audits across projects, the fabrication facility and supplier facilities.</li></ul><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:left;"><b>Required Skills and Competencies</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><ul><li>Tertiary Qualification/s in engineering or related discipline</li><li>At least 5+ years’ experience in multidiscipline infrastructure, or renewable energy, or substation style projects</li><li>Quality auditor - Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9000</li><li>Ability to review statistical data to identify quality problems</li><li>Experience providing training in best practices to ensure that employees working in production are aware of quality requirements</li><li>Have worked and implemented quality inspection tools and software to support the QA inspection team (eg defect / snagging tracking tool software)</li><li>As the Quality Engineer, you must prepare and update the project’s quality documentation, basing processes on AS/NSZ ISO 9001:2008 – Quality management systems – Requirements.  As the Company holds accreditation to this standard, you must develop appropriate processes and train employees in this in preparation for both internal and external quality audits.</li></ul><p></p><p><span>Quality Engineer positions start in our project office in Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits.
