Product Designers at Zoox are deeply integrated into our cross functional teams, touching every aspect of our vertically integrated service: Our ridehailing app, internal tools, human-AI interaction design, in-vehicle interfaces, lighting, and sound. </div><div><br></div><br><br><h3>In this role you will:</h3><ul><li>Design mapping products that are elegant, accessible, and intuitive with a deep understanding of our Cartography teams and other map users</li><li>Partner closely with high-velocity, cross-functional development teams</li><li>Contribute to product roadmap and strategy decisions</li><li>Inspire and align teams through persuasive storytelling</li><li>Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of Zoox's design systems and principles </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>6+ years of relevant design experience inside a commercial business</li><li>A genuine curiosity and passion for solving transportation challenges in cities</li><li>Experience designing and shipping mapping tools</li><li>Figma expertise</li><li>A portfolio showcasing product work loved by users and produced in high-velocity teams</li><li>Command of visual design, UI patterns, and interaction principles</li><li>Strong prototyping abilities that accelerate decision making and development time. A high aptitude for shipping and learning quickly.</li><li>You have run projects independently end to end as the lead designer</li><li>You inspire teams by bringing new ideas to the table</li><li>You know how to balance craft and speed</li><li>Product management, engineering, research, data, and other designers love working with you</li><li>Proficient in accessible designing systems and implementing WCAG standards</li></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>You are a designer who can code and can ship to production</li><li>You’ve helped build ground up design systems or significantly evolved them</li><div><br></div></ul><br>
