This position provides technical support, analyzes production data, and improves safety, uptime, quality, energy consumption, tool change cycle times, and other operational metrics.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform installation, maintenance work, electrical field work, inspections/maintenance of heavy equipment obeying OSHA and Enviva standards for work practices</li><li>Maintains adherence to workplace and safety practices and principles, and electrical standards in compliance with the relevant Federal, State, and Local Codes.</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical issues relating to the PLC controlled devices, motor control centers, VFD’s instrumentation (multi-meter, megger, process meter, hart meter, amp meter) and other standard electrical devices using electrical drawings.</li><li>Wire, Troubleshoot, repair, AC/DC circuits and equipment, replace wiring electrical issues relating to the PLC, motor control centers, 480V and 4160V electrical distribution equipment and all electrical devices, equipment, sensors and fixtures</li><li>Troubleshoot different communication and IT technologies (D-Net, E-Net, Fiber Optic).</li><li>Identify corrective action and troubleshooting to improve reliability of equipment.</li><li>Perform electrical field work including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, process control, drives and actuators, instrumentation and telemetry equipment.</li><li>Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated before use and reports abnormalities</li><li>Monitor production process operating parameters and makes appropriate adjustments to ensure safe and efficient equipment performance</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned and directed.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>At least two (2) years manufacturing experience.</li><li>Four (4) years of electrical experience.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in using hand tools and power tools as required for troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing wiring, equipment, sensors, and fixtures.</li><li>Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge.</li><li>Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules.</li><li>Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders</li><li>Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job descriptions.</li><li>Excellent communication, critical thinking, analytical, problem solving interpersonal and team skills</li><li>Willing and able to adhere to safety rules and regulations, including wearing prescribed safety equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set You Apart</strong></p><ul><li>High School degree or equivalent, applicants in process of getting GED will be considered; plus four (4) years of progressively responsible journey level electrical experience; or completion of a technical training program and two (2) years of experience.</li><li>Advanced degree/certification in electrical engineering or controls a plus.</li><li>Experience in a pellet mill or manufacturing environment.</li><li>Must demonstrate electrical aptitude and troubleshooting.</li><li>Proficient in mathematics and measurements.</li><li>Wood products background.</li><li>Experience in PLC programming and working with automated devices and electrical distribution equipment.</li><li>Program and troubleshoot with DeviceNet; ControlNet and Flex I/O.</li></ul><p><strong>Working conditions</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees </li><li>Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment </li><li>Occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.</li><li>Working at heights and confined spaces.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting and pulling up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day</li><li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA.</li><li>Ability to work from heights and confined spaces</li><li>Able to climb multiple flights of steps, ramps, vertical ladders, scaffolds (fixed or portable)</li><li>Able to work around moving equipment and machinery</li><li>Ability to perform work while wearing PPE including Arc Flash protection.</li></ul><div><p>This position is not eligible for visa support.</p><p><strong>EEO Statement </strong></p><p>Enviva is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
