GFL Mississauga is looking for a quality control technician to support our processing line of business!  Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Sample inbound/onsite material, conduct screening analysis, record results</li><li>Ensure appropriate data entry is completed</li><li>De-pack loose packs, categorize, strap and track outgoing material</li><li>Interpret and compare results</li><li>Operate a tank farm and associated pumps, valves, and couplings</li><li>Blending and preparing product to prescribed recipe using pumps and mixers</li><li>Maintain a high level of organization in a fluid environment</li><li>Communicate and liaise with other departments</li><li>Housekeeping to maintain a safe work area</li><li>Respond to emergencies and help with the spill clean-up</li><li>Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and all applicable codes</li><li>Maintain good working relationship with coworkers and customers</li><li>Some overtime required</li><li>Other duties as requested by Supervisor</li></ul> Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Open availability Monday - Friday (Required to work morning and afternoon shifts)</li><li>Chemistry, Chemical Lab, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology, Environnmental Technician, or related field of study</li><li>Must be comfortable working in a 100% outdoor environment (cold and heat)</li><li>Must be clean shaven (to be able to wear full mask respirator)</li><li>Must be comfortable working at heights (up to 10 feet)</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li><li>Keen attention to detail</li><li>Exemplary communication skills</li></ul>#GFLTalent  We thank you for your interest.
