Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Director of Operations, Wastewater in one of our Hub locations (Dallas, TX, Boston, MA, Nashville, TN or other remote locations.) 

This position is responsible for ensuring that the wastewater business attains its performance objectives.  Performance objectives pertain to bookings, revenue, gross margin, operating expense, contribution margin, backlog, collections, cash management and personnel development.  This position is also responsible for managing the business and personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.

What do you get to do in this position? 
    • Contributes to divisional and department strategic planning for our Water Wastewater Division
    • Liaison between executive staff and direct reports
    • Leads his/her team effectively
    • Develop operations strategies, goals and objectives and ensure achievement
    • Develop operations performance budgets and ensure their attainment
    • Manage a diverse and dynamic team of WWW professionals 
    • Identify operations resource needs/challenges and take necessary actions to address
    • Review and approve acceptance of purchase orders and contracts offered to Schneider Electric
    • Responsible for the oversight and administration of the Schneider Electric safety policy
    • Responsible for the oversight of all commissioning activity
    • Prepare weekly and monthly operating reports/forecasts or metrics
    • Other duties may be assigned

 

On September 9, 2021, U.S. Executive Order 14042 was issued, requiring all who are working in connection with federal contracts to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or have a company-approved medical or religious exemption. Since the Order was issued, the District Court of Georgia has placed a legal hold on the Mandate’s vaccine requirements in all states nationwide. As such, the vaccine requirements of the Mandate and the Policy are currently on HOLD for U.S. employees, partners, and vendors. If the legal hold is overturned, we will resume the process to comply with the Mandate and Policy and all Schneider Electric U.S.-based employees will be required to show proof of vaccination or have a company-approved medical or religious exemption. We will continue to monitor and comply with the legal decisions regarding the Mandate and adjust our Policy accordingly. Independent of the legal hold, we will continue to comply with customer vaccination requirements.

This job might be for you if:
  • A minimum of 8-10 years as a Senior Level Management in Operations, experience in WWW preferred 
  • Strong ability to lead upwardly, across and down through clear, concise and effective communication of complex concepts.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills as they relate to performance metrics of complex systems.
  • Proven collaboration skills with other functions
  • Clear understanding of Revenue, Cost, Gross Margin and Cash Management
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
