What do you get to do in this position?

  • Partners with business sponsors and software development teams while acting as subject matter expect in order to build and enhance best in class ESG reporting and management software
  • Utilize strong functional knowledge of ESG reporting to shape and document software development requirements
  • Lead and focus approach to competitive benchmarking and assessment of emerging frameworks and future best practices
  • Develop and catalog user personas, use cases, and scenarios  
  • Develop team-wide process and resourcing to research, catalog, and maintain on an ongoing basis, global library of ESG indicators and definitions
  • Act as the liaison between sustainability operations and product development communicating issues, defects, and enhancements to the development teams
  • Prepare ongoing status reports and project updates to business sponsor and leadership team, ensuring successful launch and achievement of business objectives
  • Perform project budget tracking and reporting. Assess resources and capacity to complete and implement software product development, recommend appropriate enhancements if required
  • Contribute technical content for product development’s documentation of new project processes and deliverables including requirements, testing documentation and issues logs
  • Serve as SME representative for final project signoff and UAT completion
  • Support development of software functionality and data management aligned to key industry reporting platforms, such as CDP, DJSI, GRI, GRESB, and other ESG frameworks
  • Contribute to the development of training resources and other launch materials
  • Lead internal product launch and rollout presentation of completed software module. Provide training and coaching to internal functions including client management, business development, operations and other SME teams.
  • Solicit and gather ongoing customer feedback including requirements for product enhancements, serve as ‘ambassador-liaison’ of module’s functionality with internal and external stakeholders
  • Once technology project work has been completed, this individual will then transition to supporting direct sustainability projects within the Sustainability Operations group

On September 9, 2021, U.S. Executive Order 14042 was issued, requiring all who are working in connection with federal contracts to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or have a company-approved medical or religious exemption. Since the Order was issued, the District Court of Georgia has placed a legal hold on the Mandate’s vaccine requirements in all states nationwide. If the legal hold is overturned, we will resume the process to comply with the Mandate and Policy and all Schneider Electric U.S.-based employees will be required to show proof of vaccination or have a company-approved medical or religious exemption. We will continue to monitor and comply with the legal decisions regarding the Mandate and adjust our Policy accordingly. Independent of the legal hold, we will continue to comply with customer vaccination requirements.

This job might be for you if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, environment, sustainability or other relevant area
  • 3+ years’ experience in ESG data management and reporting with strong preference for working familiarity with bespoke software platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with core competency in problem-solving
  • Creativity to view a problem from many angles and drive towards an excellent solution
  • Self-starter who can suggest technology improvements
  • Attention to detail, thoroughly understanding the entirety of problems and solutions
  • Initiative to uncover and solve problems proactively
  • Effective working on teams, within and outside of function
  • High commitment to company vision and values
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in a MS Office environment (i.e. Word & Excel) as well as familiarity with product management tools & software (e.g., Asana, Miro, Jira, etc.)
  • Previous energy or sustainability industry knowledge
