The Role
As a Persefoni Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the team that leads efforts to capture and organize information throughout the course of product development. Our project managers are conduits for progress and aim to make a big impact yet should avoid superfluous activity or noise that doesn’t support the objectives of the project. Using established systems of project organization combined with an agile development methodology, you will be empowered to build efficiency and professionalism directly into all product activities and every product release.
Our project managers are focused on information gathering, planning and execution, identifying and tracking dependencies, progress monitoring, and facilitating communication between product teams. The complexity of keeping various teams on track for a common goal is significant, and for that reason your communication abilities will be excellent. Your experience in software development project management will play a key part in being able to contribute to the conversations surrounding the development of the world’s premier carbon accounting platform.
How You’ll Know You’re Successful
Within your first two weeks, you will have a basic understanding of the key objectives of the product, the roles of the teams that are building it, and where your contributions will be the most valuable. You’ll be leading agile ceremonies for your product team(s) and be polishing the team’s processes as needed. You will also recognize how we apply our culture code (i.e., operating principles) and be able to perpetuate it in your daily activities.
Within your first four weeks, you will be helping to further build out the PMO, including writing best practices, evaluating for gaps in current processes and recommending corrective action, and recommending ways to accelerate the product development process in general.
Within your first three months, you will be running weekly Scrum of Scrums for the various products within the platform, coordinating system updates with tech teams as needed, designing risk reduction methods, and be helping define goals for the product and project management teams.
