The Manager, Retail Performance & Analytics will evaluate retail performance of Impossible’s US retail business to identify opportunities and risks, distill the drivers of performance, and communicate insights to cross-functional leadership to help advance our business goals. The role reports to the Sr Manager of Demand Strategy and Revenue Management under our broader Business Analytics function. This is a highly cross functional role that will require partnership with stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, and business analytics as you develop an effective reporting cadence and analytical assets.

You Will

  • Build frameworks for evaluating performance of our SKUs across different retailers
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve a scorecard to track progress and identify risks
  • Run analysis on syndicated and internal data to understand retail performance drivers and inform sales, product, and marketing strategy 
  • Develop predictive models to help evaluate the impact of different investments and activities (e.g., increasing in store ops spend, a change in merchandising strategy, price pack architecture)
  • Unpack retail performance and drivers at a retailer, banner, regional, and door level to inform executable, micro-targeted strategies to advance the business 
  • Help define success metrics and KPIs, including target velocities and volume 
  • Support the sales and category management team by providing insight on opportunities and supporting data requests for partner meeting
  • Inform and develop dashboards and reports to distill and share out insights
  • Distill and communicate insights on performance to leadership across sales, category management, marketing, and product
  • Partner and collaborate with reporting team to develop and refine dashboards
  • Help inform product and retailer forecasting in conjunction with Sales, Reporting, & Product teams
  • Drive ad hoc strategy & analytics projects to answer critical internal business questions and optimize demand investments

You Have

  • 5+ years of experience working in an analytics role, ideally in CPG or Food & Beverage industries focused on the retail channel
  • A deep understanding of drivers of performance in retail channel with experience in category management, trade, pricing, and / or revenue management 
  • Strong analytical, modeling and quantitative skills; able to manage and drive complex analytics, manipulation of large amounts of data
  • Experience working with and synthesizing observations/insights from syndicated data sources (e.g., SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, Panel, Market6, 84.51 etc.)
  • Proficiency with quantitative languages and tools including SQL (or another advanced programming language such as R, C++, etc.) is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize various work streams
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills - combined with the ability to clearly communicate the main takeaways to stakeholders from a wide range of functions
  • Advanced verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or Business preferred)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
