Job Description

Redaptive is searching for a Environmental Data Analyst to lead data collection, accounting, analysis and reporting of environmental metrics (energy, emissions, water, eventually waste) across Redaptive projects and operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives on energy; carbon management; greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory; science based targets; transportation; water; waste; and renewable energy.
  • Manage measurement, calculation, and accounting of sustainability metrics including energy, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1, 2, & 3), waterfor Redaptive projects and operations.
  • Support development of sustainability KPIs for company and customers.
  • Lead development of approach for Scope 3 Value Chain emissions accounting.
  • Work with commercial, procurement and operations teams to build effective environmental data management, tracking, analysis and reporting processes. 
  • Support the completion of ESG questionnaires and disclosures including CDP, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), TCFD, Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), and others.
  • Analyze data including energy, water, and waste to support recommendations for improvements. 
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, resolve issues, and regularly report to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain and build relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations, and support communications initiatives

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with carbon accounting, energy and water data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Environmental Management, Data Science, or a similarly technical and engineering-minded field preferred.
  • Experience developing processes and preparing environmental calculations that align with the leading ESG frameworks including the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Protocol, the GRI Standards, Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB) the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and the Taskforce on Climate Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability requirements.
  • Experience developing environmental data collection systems, tools, databases, models and/or software.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, familiarity with Salesforce a plus.
  • Capacity to work independently and simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under deadline.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, strong writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Microsoft Excel, Analysis, Excel, PowerPoint, familiarity with Salesforce a plus
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future
