Job Overview
The analyst assists with developing high-quality project deliverables for clients in an efficient and timely manner. This role is responsible for supporting project leads in developing technical deliverables and ensuring efficient, quality, and technically accurate results. As an analyst, you will work collaboratively on cross-functional teams on both project categories and engage with all members of SCS Consulting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and has a strong drive to learn.

  • GHG inventories, goals, reduction strategies
  • Sustainability reporting
  • Environmental impact and risk assessments
  • Protocols and brand standards development
  • Others, as determined

Roles and Responsibilities:

Client Engagement

  • Communicate with clients effectively and professionally
  • Support project managers in client meetings
  • Ensure quality deliverables and client satisfaction

Operations

  • Complete technical project work including developing GHG inventories, science-based targets, emissions reduction strategies, and others as determined
  • Support strategy project work including conducting materiality assessments, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, and others as determined
  • Complete project work focused on helping clients align with GRI/SASB, TCFD, and other sustainability reporting frameworks
  • Collaborate with other technical and project management staff

Program Quality and Development

  • Stay informed, along with the team, on trends in sustainability and ESG reporting, regulations, and technical standards
  • Develop high-quality deliverables to ensure client satisfaction
  • Complete work efficiently to ensure projects are on time and within budget

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in sustainability, energy management, engineering, or related field
  • Experience conducting technical assessments including greenhouse gas inventories
  • Complete fluency in English and work experience that involves professional written communication
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams at once
  • Excellent analytical ability and fluency working with data
  • Proficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel and database management
  • Strong customer service and teamwork orientation
  • Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently under pressure in a changing environment
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered, unless precluded by local and national jurisdiction. Pursuant to local and national law--proof of vaccination required. Medical and religious accommodations will also be considered.
Physical Requirements
  • This is an office-based job. Sit 6+ hours per day. Keyboarding 6+ hours per day. Must be able to speak and listen in person and on the phone.
