UX Designer / Front End Engineer

We are looking for a founding designer who wants to make a meaningful contribution to reducing carbon emissions at scale across a broad user base. Primary responsibilities include owning the core look & feel of our software platform. You will: 

• Deeply understand the needs of RightHandGreen’s buyers and users through direct engagement and research
• Establish the brand identity and design language of RightHandGreen
• Design the UI/UX of the website from the ground up; developing user flows, wireframes, high fidelity designs, and prototypes
• Work closely with our CEO, product, and engineering team to build and ship quickly, including designing and implementing new product features
• [Nice to have] Contribute to front end development of the product, alongside our engineers

Qualifications:

• Interest in working for a mission-focused company addressing climate change
• Experience designing and building SaaS products, ideally including JavaScript and front-end development
• Knowledge of current web accessibility standards and requirements
• A good understanding of the interplay between JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to dynamically build, modify, and style elements on a page with ease. 
• Desire to be a founding team member with the associated responsibility & upside
• [Nice to have] Experience as the primary designer or engineer on at least one product, taking it from concept to launch
• [Nice to have] Experience with Tailwindcss, Hotwire, and/or Go. 
• [Nice to have] Experience in enterprise SaaS or HR/Benefits software
