THE ROLE

Zoomo are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Junior Logistics Associate to support the Operations team build out a world class fleet operation in France.

France is one of our most growing markets in Europe (and the world!). We need someone just as important to make our operations sing. If you care deeply about making the world a better place and working with amazing people - this is the role for you.

The role is a fantastic opportunity to learn about scaling operations and developing products in a high growth start-up. The person will need to be flexible, creative and willing to get their hands dirty. You will be part of a team (an awesome team) and you will interface with all parts of the business.

Fleet is where our main operations sit and this role will be a key support to the Fleet Logistics Manager. You will be responsible for making sure things get where they need to be, when they need to be there. This may mean speaking to our larger customers such as Just Eat or Gorillas, managing both our internal and external Logistics Teams or delivering parts across town.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the Junior Logistics Associate is to support the Operations Management team in both the day to day running of business logistics and on key fleet projects which will allow us to scale a world class fleet operation and the largest team of mechanics in France.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overview: Day to day managing of market logistics
  • Logistics coordination: Facilitate part and bike deliveries to internal and external customers via 3PL.
  • Organize processes to recover stolen bikes
  • Be responsible for transporting/delivering parts & tools if needed in Paris (crisis management, peak in activity management)
  • Communication with 3PL: POC for 3PL in the collections, returns and maintenance schedules. This includes some weekend work.
  • Stocktaking management: Stocktaking and auditing of all 3PL and non warehouse storage locations of parts and unbuilt vehicles / assets.
  • Data entry: Input and update the G Sheets/Fleetio records.
  • Logistics Strategy: Co developing and implementing the France logistics and warehouse strategy to optimise land transport/logistics between Zoomo’s sites and to Zoomo customers in a cost-effective manner.
  • Best Practice: Ensure inventory and logistics best practices are shared across the country and communicated globally.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in grocery, transport or other hands-on industry or at a fast-growing start up in a logistics or supply chain role
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends. Thursday to Monday shift.
  • Project management – know the basics of managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a structured and logical way.
  • A data driven approach to decision making
  • Data and analytics: you are data-driven and proficient navigating sheets, pivot tables, and creating forecasts. Numbers are music to your ears
  • Have a good understanding of road haulage transport legislation and operating license requirements.
  • You have a driving license
  • Fluent in French and English
