We are currently looking for a Food Scientist of R&D Food Scientist of R&D will be reporting to the Food Science and Tech Team Leader.
Specifically, they will:Work side by side with all the company functions in order to drive the top line, the efficiencies as well as uniquity of all products for NotCo.Ensure product superiority status across our competitors in the spaces where we operate.Be accountable on working side by side with the machine learning team and the research team on all product development on improvement projects.To design and develop new products within Business objectives.Bring product development expertise through his / her own experience as well as from suppliers, to ensure successful industrialization and launches that meet the requirements of the project brief. Design and carry out laboratory-scale and/or pilot experiments for both food prototyping and ingredient validation.Propose improvements in production processes and products, based on experimental results at the laboratory and pilot scale.
Key Qualifications:3 or more years of progressive R&D experience in plant-based food products including successful execution of plant-based food products (meat analogues and/or dairy alternatives)Bachelor’s degree in food engineering, food science, Engineering in Biotechnology or a similar discipline; Master’s degree a plus.English proficiency required. Spanish will be considered a plus.Possess experience in working in a consumer food company, product development and experimental design.Excel in a startup environment and excited to create new procedures and processes from scratch, and has a strong entrepreneurial mindset.Be a problem solver and take the initiative to get the job done.Work well in teams and cross functional groups in a matrixed environment both regionally and globally.Be agile, adaptable, and thrive in a dynamic and changing culture.Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
