And our teams are constantly pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo in pursuit of a brighter future.Job Summary:As a Fleet Van Operator for Bird Canada in Edmonton, you'll play a vital role in managing our fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes to meet the community's transportation needs. Using Bird's mobile technology, you will monitor, transport, rebalance, and swap batteries for our devices, thus ensuring safe, environmentally friendly scooters and bikes are available to riders nearby. This role is ideal for self-driven individuals who thrive on autonomy, have excellent time-management skills, and enjoy driving on a daily basis.Responsibilities<ul><li>Safely load, unload, drive, &amp; operate a company vehicle following mobile app-guided destinations</li><li>Support operations and logistics with fleet deployment in vans, staging in the warehouse, and collection of scooters from the field</li><li>Relocate scooters from low to high-demand areas in a timely fashion</li><li>Regular quality and performance checks on scooters and company vehicles</li><li>Basic scooter diagnostics, follow company procedures to identify necessary repairs on damaged or malfunctioning scooters</li><li>Disinfect, clean, and prepare scooters to ensure a safe and enjoyable rider experience</li><li>Ensure all docked and warehoused vehicles are charging according to Bird’s safety procedures</li><li>Collaborate and communicate with team members to accomplish shift goals in person and via mobile app.</li><li>Participate in quality assurance and testing for new product and feature releases</li></ul>Pay: 18.00 CADMust Have<ul><li>A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.</li><li>Strong familiarity with Edmonton streets and roadways.</li><li>Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring stooping, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li></ul>Highly Desired<ul><li>1-3 years of experience driving larger vehicles (cargo vans, U-Haul Trucks, etc)</li><li>Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance</li></ul><h3>Why Bird Matters</h3>Every time you hop on a Bird, you’re helping build a more livable city.
