SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our growing Energy Storage team and help Nexamp lead the charge in the rapidly evolving energy storage market. In this role, you will support the development of solar and energy storage projects by evaluating new and existing projects to determine revenue and savings opportunities as well as optimizing project sizing. Ideally you have energy industry and wholesale markets experience, a baseline knowledge of the solar and storage industries, and the desire to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment. If you are self-driven, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and comfortable interfacing with internal and external stakeholders this is the role for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the analysis and evaluation of wholesale market opportunities for solar + storage and standalone storage projects ranging from distributed generation to utility scale
  • Lead the development of new tools and analysis methods to support current and future projects
  • Analyze new programs and markets for revenue and development opportunities
  • Analyze the offerings of potential partners to ensure opportunities are matched with optimized solutions
  • Interface and collaborate with Nexamp’s Business Development, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Project Finance, and Asset Management Services teams to ensure smooth project development and implementation
  • Follow changes in the storage market and evaluate potential value that different offerings can bring to Nexamp projects
  • Review and report on market conditions, incentive programs, and new technologies to benefit other members of the Storage and wider Business Development teams

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and operate well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.  The candidate should be prepared for increased responsibility in a rapidly growing company.

Key qualifications as follows:

  • Familiarity with storage analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience with wholesale markets across multiple ISOs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Technologically savvy, ability to learn new software tools
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Equally able to work in a team setting or independently
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and initiatives
  • Motivated, energetic, willing to learn
