Job Description

As a member of our Quality team, you will work with our industry-leading Hardware Engineering group. You will collaborate with hardware engineering teams across US and China along with industry-leading automotive component and ECU (Electronics Control Unit) vendors globally. You will focus on the value-added activity to Engineering Design in an agile way for solid design quality and its release.


Responsibilities

  • Enable and support engineering team to establish hardware development process and tool chains that meets related hardware standard and models, e.g. Reliability, FMEA, Functional Safety
  • Evangelize quality mindset and benefits of hardware quality system from prevention and prediction perspective to internal stakeholders and engineers
  • Establishing reliability targets based on warranty and industry level
  • Responsible for reliability distribution, prediction and statistical evaluation of complex electronic systems
  • Experience in reliability design of PCBA design scheme and process reliability design, responsible for identifying PCBA reliability risk
  • Create Fault Trees and reliability block diagrams to assess system reliability 
  • Responsible for establishing reliability ability such as PCBA reliability checklist、aging screening test spec
  • Master the accelerated test model based on reliability physics, responsible for guiding the design and control of the accelerated test of reliability
  • Lead or support hardware related audits and Reliability/FMEA/FuSa assessment in relevant areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree +10 years working experience on front end EE (Electrical or Electronic Engineering) component engineering, EE Design, Reliability, FMEA
  • Solid electrical & electronic engineering fundamentals and understanding of relevant degradation mechanisms at both individual component level and module system level.
  • Understanding of health monitoring and reliability projection methodologies
  • Have the ability of reliability data analysis, master the reliability analysis and evaluation software such as JMP, Minitab, responsible for the review of reliability analysis and evaluation demerit
  • Well versed with ReliaSoft Synthesis Platform
  • Demonstrated proficiency in FMEA methodology  and APIS IQ Software
  • Knowledge of reliability warranty analysis and reliability prediction methods.
  •  Working knowledge of failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, SEM, CSAM, X-ray, cross-sectioning and EDX
  • Good track record and demonstrated ability to identify quality risks and issues and drive process improvements
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and solve problem
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to handle sudden setbacks under pressure
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a agile/dynamic/fast-pacing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in EE field
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer preferred
  • Automotive (or higher complex system like Aerospace, Military…) and/or start-up experience
  • Hands-on experience on Functional Safety ISO26262 is a plus
  • Related experience in mechanical field in addition to EE is a plus
