Job Summary:

Treehouse’s Renewable Energy Asset Manager oversees the performance and safety of the company’s renewable energy generation assets. Day-to-day tasks include supervising personnel and contractors, overseeing maintenance, production analysis, planning, reporting, and other related activities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the company’s renewable energy assets.
  • Conduct visits and inspections; oversee the maintenance and warranty work.
  • Oversee the purchasing of materials, equipment, or other resources.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all project governing documents.
  • Schedule and supervise work by employees and subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to safety regulations or policies.
  • Address outages, communicate with balancing authorities, coordinate with contractors to address outages.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for company customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage project curtailment.
  • Track and maintain records for operations, including site performance, downtime events, parts usage, or substation events.
  • Analyze plant metrics on an ongoing basis to find anomalies and improve plant performance.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on asset performance.
  • Work with the accounting and data-analysis departments to prepare operational budgets.
  • Train or coordinate the training of employees in operations, safety, environmental and technical duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Dependable and accountable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills coupled with organization, flexibility, and strong attention to detailKnowledge of current renewable energy practice and technology.
  • Familiarity with industrial control software such as SCADA.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for compliance with local, state, or national requirements for operational security and the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and the coordination of people and resources.
  • Able and willing to travel for site visits and work oversight (typically one site visit per month); valid drivers license required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Mac applications.
  • Able and willing to participate actively in project maintenance, including climbing turbines for the purposes of inspection and supervision.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred: degree in a specific engineering discipline, or equivalent of combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of successful U.S. energy industry experience in Asset Management or a related field.
  • Wind turbine climber certification, PE license or PMP certification a plus.
