Job Description:<div>We are looking for a Firmware Engineer with a strong focus on firmware validation and testing frameworks for embedded systems used in power electronics applications. This role will work closely with firmware, hardware, and controls teams to ensure robust, reliable, and certifiable software across a wide range of embedded system applications.   </div><div>Responsibilities </div><div><ul><li>Contribute to firmware and software design, development, and implementation;</li><li>Develop and maintain firmware testing infrastructure and automation frameworks;</li><li>Support firmware and software verification and validation activities;</li><li>Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including firmware, hardware, controls, and systems engineering. </li></ul></div><div>Qualifications </div><div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in these areas is a plus;</li><li>Experience in firmware development, including validation of real-time embedded systems and laboratory testing;</li><li>Familiarity with real-time system constraints, including interrupt handling, task scheduling, and deterministic behavior;</li><li>Basic knowledge of power electronics systems;</li><li>Proficiency in C/C++ and Python;</li><li>Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet, and Modbus;</li><li>Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and/or SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) environments is highly desirable;</li><li>Experience with Git and version control systems;</li><li>Hands-on experience with, or a strong interest in, building agentic AI systems is a plus;</li><li>Advanced English proficiency. </li></ul></div><div> </div>At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
