About the Role:

As the Business Development Manager for Australia, you’ll be responsible for building the commercial partnerships in farming and food supply chains that are aligned with the mission of unlocking soil as the world's largest carbon sink.

In this role you’ll collaborate closely with the US-based sales team and product team to optimise the fit of the Perennial offering in the Australian market. You’ll also work with the operations & customer success teams on coordinating product delivery. 

What You'll Own:

  • You’ll own the Australian sales funnel and CRM management, mapping out potential partners by category and identifying key decision makers at target companies
  • You’ll set up initial discovery sessions to understand what partners in the AgriFood supply chain are working to achieve, the jobs they have to do, the pain points they are experiencing, and where Perennial’s proposition can deliver against these
  • You’ll take initial commercial opportunities through the sales process from sourcing to close
  • You’ll work with the design team to develop and iterate sales materials and lead the response to RFP’s. 
  • You’ll work with communications team to craft and convey key commercial messaging, and also build and support your own positioning as a key person in the AgriFood sustainability space

  • You possess the ability to uncover key sales insights from people, including the optimal value proposition of interest that overlaps with Perennial’s service offerings
  • You are able to empathise and connect with different stakeholders 
  • You are able to think creatively and join the dots to develop new commercial opportunities by bringing together key partners in the AgriFood supply chain, aligning them around the benefits of a climate-smart approach
  • You are adept at managing a sales CRM platform
  • You embody a positive can-do outlook on life, you’ll have the proven ability to initially create and then scale commercial partnerships
