Job Description

OVERVIEW
As an engineer in the NIO Digital Cockpit team, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to apply leading edge technologies to revolutionize the automotive domain.You will utilize your expertise in camera and display systems to develop and deliver solutions for handling multiple high-resolution cameras and displays. The resulting experiences will provide greater comfort, convenience, personalization, and safety for both vehicle occupants and the public at large.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, implement, and validate drivers for cameras, deserializers, displays and serializers.
  • Calculate performance of vision systems, including end-to-end from optics to graphics.
  • Develop middleware and framework so that multiple cameras / displays can be used many applications.
  • Work in a dynamic cross functional global team to deliver digital cockpit platform for next generation autonomous and semi-autonomous cars.

Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, applied mathematics or related field with a focus on embedded systems.
  • 15+ years of industry experience.
  • 10+ years of development experience in embedded QNX/Linux/Android operating systems.
  • 5+ years of experience working on camera/display/serializer/deserializer drivers, camera frameworks, camera applications, and graphics.
  • Experience with C++.
  • Familiarity with modern software development tools for source code control, unit testing, automated build, test, and deployment.
  • A passionate, curious mind that is driven to find solutions to difficult problems. A capability to work either independently or collaboratively as projects evolve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the automotive domain.
  • Experience developing frameworks for distributed systems.
  • QNX Hypervisor integration and software development.
  • Experience with functional safety analysis and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with system development and hardware product integration.
  • Experience delivering three or more major products to mass production.
