Manager, Operations Risk & Control

The Manager, Operations Quality Assurance will be responsible for developing Aspiration's first line of defense, analyzing processes and developing control tests to ensure procedural adherence. This role will work cross functionally with Operations, Compliance, Audit, and others to evaluate, test, and monitor process quality across Operations.  Aspiration Values Action: We take initiative. What You'll Do

• Act as functional QA lead for first line of defense within Operations 
• Manage procedure inventory and align to company policies
• Document process flows in LucidChart and identify control points
• Perform process risk and control assessments and test the controls in a regular cadence
• Track test findings, develop regular reporting and present test findings, process and compliance gaps, and improvement recommendations to all levels of management
• Create and maintain remediation action plans and track performance against it
• Lead team of quality analysts
• Collaborate across Operations units to support overall first line of defense/ risk management system
• Coordinate and support Audit requirements across Operations  
• Partner with other business units to define roles/ responsibilities, systems entitlements and access management reviews and correct violations

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years experience in Operations QA role building and implementing process control plans and process test plans
• Strong working knowledge of Risk Management activities in financial services / fintech
• Strong analytical skills / attention to detail
• Strong presentation and communication skills and executive presence
