Senior Manager- Product Management

QuantumScape is on a mission to transform energy storage with solid-state lithium-metal battery technology. The company’s next-generation batteries are designed to enable longer range, faster charging and enhanced safety in electric vehicles to support the transition away from legacy energy sources toward a lower carbon future.

QuantumScape is an energy storage technology company, located in San Jose, California. We are working on a fundamental disruption in the field of rechargeable batteries. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to support product management for our rapidly growing organization. Key responsibilities include development of specifications for automotive and other energy storage applications, documentation and communication of requirements, and project management.
In this role, you will:Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales organizations to develop detailed design and performance specificationsProduce and maintain documentation to enable clear and precise communication to internal and external customersPrepare and deliver status summaries for management reviewManage timelines to support customer deliveries and new product launchesSupport customer engagements as needed to explain product capabilities and to collect user input
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering or a technical fieldExperience developing written specifications Understanding of electrochemical devices, particularly as related to use in electric vehiclesA consistent track record of success in your fieldPossess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. These are vital because the position is cross-functional in nature and demands constant interactions and deliberations with other departments, customers, and other external parties
