Your missionTo help companies address their carbon impact, we need to scale our industry-transforming carbon accounting platform, enabling businesses to automatically measure, report and reduce their carbon footprint. You’ll split your time 75% on customer work and 25% working with our product and engineering team to develop our data ingestion and automated carbon accounting software platform that will revolutionise how corporate carbon accounting is done.
What you'll doWe think in terms of impact, not strict responsibilities. Here's how you’ll contribute:- We're growing quickly. Your ability to produce high quality corporate carbon accounting analysis in a timely way will allow us to continue to rapidly scale our customer base- You can build for the future. You’ll help us build, manage and maintain a high quality database of emission factors that will quickly become one of the most comprehensive in the world- Efficiency is key. You’ll always be looking for ways to improve our playbooks and processes to ensure we can delight customers across a range of industriesYou set the tone. You will play a major role in growing a healthy culture of transparency, collaboration and technical quality in the team, both through your work and as a leader.- You'll deliver high quality work as part of a team. You’ll interpret environmental data and ensure the highest standards in inventory analysis are met, and will empower the customer success team and support engineering and product to deliver for customers- You’ll change the way our customers do business. Your expertise in carbon accounting, environmental consulting and project management, coupled with your commercial judgement and knowledge of real-world applications to carbon accounting, will ensure customers achieve their carbon goals
Importantly, from day one, we'll work with you to map out how you can make an impact and how your career will grow over time. 
What you'll needThere are a range of experiences and skills that will likely help you succeed in this role, including:- You have great academic credentials, including a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Science or Environmental Management) or a broader field with a focus on environmental issues (e.g. Data Science, Engineering or Economics).- You're deeply committed to tackling the climate emergency and have a sound understanding of the underlying science and have proven experience in the workplace- You love analysing and interpreting data and are driven to solve challenging technical problems- You are able to communicate complex, technical information clearly, concisely and accurately, and are comfortable presenting ideas to customer audiences with varying degrees of knowledge- You are passionate about working directly with corporations on their carbon footprint and can demonstrate experience of GHG accounting in line with best practices (e.g. the GHG Protocol or ISO 14064)- You are comfortable managing multiple project teams simultaneously- You're a free thinker who will identify opportunities for improvement and be confident in communicating these- You're flexible, adaptable, and thrive in a rapidly scaling company- You are passionate about our mission. "Does it get the world to net-zero carbon faster?" (Expect to ask yourself this question regularly when working at Emitwise.)
