We are seeking a Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to partner with other senior stakeholders to lead the Company’s annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, as well as maintaining the company’s long-range planning model; delivery of key financial and strategic business insights; revenue demand planning; operations finance support of our supply chain, retail, and customer service functions; capital planning; communications and insight to our Board of Directors and investors; implementation of planning processes and systems; and analysis of actual performance to budget and forecast.  And you will help prepare the company for being public and will work closely with analysts and other external parties in using financial information to tell the Rad story.   This is a highly visible role with the ability to influence and drive key business decisions.
This role reports to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Rad embraces remote work but also values occasional in-person teamwork in and around its Seattle headquarters.

  • Strong leadership skills including problem solving, ability to become embedded with business partners across company, and the ability to draw to-the-point conclusions and recommendations
  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with strong financial modeling skills and a high sense of urgency and ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and actionable plans
  • Strong business storytelling and communication skills, and ability to advise on trade-offs between growth and profitability 
  • Work collaboratively with business leadership to understand drivers behind revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and free cash flow
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing FP&A teams, and implementing internal business processes and reporting to support short-term and long-term strategic decisions
  • Ability to develop from the ground-up, and own on an ongoing basis, a robust and scalable process to deliver updated guidance, forecast accuracy, and tracking of performance
  • Establish timelines and hold leadership accountable for delivery against targets and objectives.  Manage monthly business reviews supporting analytics of performance versus prior guidance, identification of risk and opportunities, and updated company outlook
  • Ability to maintain and refine Company’s long-term and financial model (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Equity
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and lead other various reporting projects including decision support, metrics, and analytics
  • Experience within direct to consumer and manufacturing businesses where you oversaw a best in class FP&A team, bonus points for companies with retail stores and distributed customer service and product support networks 
  • Track record of effective partnership with R&D. purchasing, and fulfillment teams that are standing up a heavily diversified global supply chain and operations footprint
  • Strong passion for supporting the headcount planning and budgeting processes of organizations undergoing year-over-year growth  

Additional Requirements:

  • 10+ years of FP&A experience, with demonstrated success in building and guiding a high-impact FP&A team at a high-growth company
  • Consistent track record of improving
  • Leadership role in the process of taking a company public is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics, or a related field.  MBA preferred
  • Deep analytical skills in forecasting and modeling complex high-growth businesses
  • Experience successfully implementing or managing planning solutions such as Oracle PBCS, Anaplan, Adaptive, etc.  Experience in building and maintaining long-range financial models and plans
  • Experience with consumer product business, including products sold both online and through retail
