Job Description

We are looking for a Product manager for our Product LCA & sustainability software with relevant background, degree and minimum 3 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on Life Cycle Assessment or sustainability for products such as appliances, building systems or other durables.

One Click LCA is a fast-growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) scaleup powering the makers of a zero carbon future. With customers in 130+ countries and a team of 80+ professionals consisting of 20+ nationalities, we make Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) easy and affordable for industrial firms.

Our vision is that industry will manage carbon as it manages cost: measuring, reporting, and reducing carbon as standard business practise. One Click LCA provides practical solutions to make this happen.

We are now looking for a Product manager to take ownership of our product LCA and sustainability software for durables manufacturers. Your role is to expand our  success story from construction products to the wider durables segment.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and prioritising the roadmap and getting high quality products shipped meeting customer needs. You work closely with designers, engineers, business developers, customers and other stakeholders to build awesome products that reduce the environmental impacts.

In your day to day, you may e.g. specify more efficient workflows for our customers to calculate the environmental impact of their products, research regulatory updates and specify changes to the tools to ensure compliance with specific standards, or define completely new solutions that can be productised.

You are familiar with key concepts, such as environmental product declaration, life-cycle assessment, environmental impact assessment, environmental management systems, ecodesign and carbon footprinting. Experience in LCA and EPDs is highly beneficial.

This role can be based anywhere in a timezone that allows working well with Europe, though preferably at our HQ in Helsinki, Finland.

  • Collect and prioritise product ideas large and small
  • Maintain a product roadmap and product backlog
  • Document requirements for development
  • Test and accept deliverables from development
  • Communicate product updates
  • Define, monitor and improve on key product performance metrics
  • Engage your colleagues and customers to support your work
  • Keep up to date on product sustainability regulation and market
  • Join relevant industry events and develop relevant partnerships

What you need:

  • Ability and motivation to become a true expert in product LCA
  • Willingness to learn and excel at product management
  • Motivation to help others succeed and to find solutions to their obstacles
  • At least three years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Degree in an engineering environmental or related field
  • Fast learning skills and desire to improve constantly, using what works
  • Customer, quality and results -oriented attitude with a hands-on approach
  • Great listening skills and ability to see the situation from a client’s perspective
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; other languages a plus
  • Experience with LCAs, EPDs, and software product management are a benefit
