Staff/Sr. Functional Safety Engineer, Vehicle Motion Control - 20193

The Vehicle Application Software Development team is seeking a Staff Engineer to drive excellence in vehicle motion control functional safety software development at NIO. This includes high voltage, thermal management, torque, brake, parking, steering, suspension and other power and chassis control.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and refining functional safety requirements TSR (Technical Safety Requirements) to software level, completing application layer software functional safety architecture design (including dynamic architecture), software implementation and test verification
• Support system, hardware and underlying software development activities and provide technical solutions to meet functional safety
• Participate in the design of functional safety products, participate in the functional safety assessment of vendors, and ensure the functional safety development of the product is implemented
• Improve the software functional safety development process and management specification
• Implement and optimize the functional safety degradation model of power chassis domain
• Implement software security analysis
• Responsible for improving the product development system to meet functional safety (ISO26262/ISO21448) and related regulations, planning, organizing and promoting functional safety work matters in the whole product life cycle

Qualifications:

• 10+ years Vehicle Engineering background with a minimum of 3 to 5 years Functional Safety for Vehicle Motion Controls
• Familiar with automotive electronic and electrical architecture and working principles
• Proficiency in ISO26262, IS021448 standards, good at FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA and HAZOP analysis methods
• Familiar with functional safety development process and functional safety related tools
• Familiar with ASPICE system, with ASPICE implementation experience
• Have hardware and software development, design experience and more than 3 years of functional security project experience
• Great communication skills
• Project management skills
