Job Description

We are looking for a Product manager for our building LCA & low carbon design software with relevant background, such as minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the architecatural or engineering industry and a degree in engineering, construction, LCA or environmental sciences.

One Click LCA is a fast-growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) scaleup powering a zero carbon future in the construction industry. With customers in 130+ countries and a team of 80+ professionals consisting of 20+ nationalities, we make construction industry Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) and decarbonization easy and affordable.

Our vision is that the construction industry will manage carbon as it manages cost; measuring, reporting, and reducing carbon as default business practices for designers, construction companies and product manufacturers alike. One Click LCA provides practical solutions to make this happen, including the integration to all leading tools.

We are now looking for a Product manager to take ownership of selected building LCA and low-carbon design software aspects. Your customers are a broad range of consultants, designers, architects, engineers, developers and sustainability experts. Our tools help them Improve at every project phase, from identifying concepts with low embodied carbon even before they start drawing to getting as built assessments.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and prioritising roadmap, leading cross-team product initiatives, developing new products and optimising existing products. You will work closely with designers, engineers, business developers, customers and other stakeholders to build awesome products that decarbonize construction.

In your day to day, you may e.g. specify more efficient workflows for our customers, research regulatory updates and specify changes to ensure compliance with specific country standards, or define completely new solutions and business models.

You are familiar with key concepts, such as embodied carbon, building life-cycle assessment and regulatory compliance. You get extra points for additional relevant experience, e.g. with BIM tools, materials data, impact calculation methodologies and (software) product management.

This role can be based anywhere, though preferably at our HQ in Helsinki, Finland.

What you do:

  • Collect and prioritise product ideas large and small
  • Maintain a product roadmap and product backlog
  • Document requirements for development
  • Test and accept deliverables from development
  • Communicate product updates
  • Define, monitor and improve on key product performance metrics
  • Engage your colleagues across the company in the product process
  • Engage customers in interviews, surveys, pilots and problem solving
  • Coach your colleagues about all aspects of building LCA
  • Keep up to date on regional LCA regulation and market developments
  • Join relevant industry events and develop relevant partnerships

What you need:

  • At least three years of relevant industry experience
  • Degree in engineering, construction, LCA, environmental or related
  • Fast learning skills and desire to improve constantly, using what works
  • Customer, quality and results -oriented attitude with a hands-on approach
  • Great listening skills and ability to see the situation from a client’s perspective
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; other languages a plus
  • Experience with BIM tools, materials data, LCA and software product management a benefit
