AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineering Manager to be based in Orange or Los Angeles, CA and will be a hybrid role.We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Traffic Engineering Manager in traffic engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, managing, and implementing traffic engineering solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and manage traffic engineering projects from conception to completion.</li><li>Develop and review traffic impact studies, traffic signal designs, and roadway safety audits.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, designers, and construction managers.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.</li><li>Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders.</li><li>Conduct field investigations and data collection to support project development.</li><li>Utilize traffic simulation software and other engineering tools to analyze and solve complex traffic issues.</li></ul> Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education</li><li>California Professional Engineer (PE) license.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Master's degree.</li><li>8+ years of experience.</li><li>Proven track record of working with LADOT and Caltrans.</li><li>Experience in Traffic Signal Design, Traffic Control, Signing and Striping, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).</li><li>Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).</li><li>Strong knowledge of traffic control devices, roadway design, and traffic safety principles.</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.</li><li>Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience.</li><li>Experience in construction phase services.</li><li>Proven and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.</li><li>Proven track record of successful project delivery.</li></ul> Additional information<ul><li>Sponsorship is not available for this position.</li></ul>
