<h2>Overview</h2>Wind Service Technician – Level 3 Canada (Travel) Travel Position | Utility-Scale Wind Projects About the Role Sky Climber Renewables is seeking experienced Level 3 Wind Service Technicians who want more than just the next rotation. This role is designed for technicians who bring strong technical capability, lead by example in the field, and want to be part of a team known for disciplined execution, safety leadership, and professional growth across utility-scale wind projects.  This is a 100% travel position supporting maintenance, repair, and installation scopes across multiple turbine platforms. Level 3 technicians at SCR play a critical role in execution quality, mentoring junior technicians, and representing our team directly with customers on site. What You’ll Do <ul> <li>Perform intermediate and advanced wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical scopes </li></ul><ul> <li>Operate and maintain a wide range of tools and diagnostic equipment, including hydraulic systems, calibration tools, power tools, and turbine-specific equipment </li></ul><ul> <li>Lead by example on safety, proactively identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and reinforcing a no-compromise safety culture </li></ul><ul> <li>Troubleshoot and diagnose turbine systems using structured problem-solving methods and diagnostic tools </li></ul><ul> <li>Execute work independently while adhering to defined maintenance schedules, procedures, and customer requirements </li></ul><ul> <li>Support quality control activities and assist with audits or verification of work performed by less experienced technicians </li></ul><ul> <li>Mentor and support junior technicians, contributing to skills development and strong crew performance </li></ul><ul> <li>Interface professionally with customers on site, addressing routine questions and escalating complex issues as appropriate </li></ul><ul> <li>Complete technical reports, documentation, and required system entries accurately and on time </li></ul><ul> <li>Perform rescue operations and support emergency response activities as required </li></ul>What Sets This Role Apart <ul> <li>Leadership expectation: This is not a heads-down role. Level 3 technicians are trusted field leaders </li></ul><ul> <li>Project variety: Exposure to multiple turbine platforms and scopes across North America </li></ul><ul> <li>Structured execution: Organized planning, defined processes, and clear communication </li></ul><ul> <li>Long-term value: Opportunities to grow into lead, specialist, or training roles as the business scales </li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience <ul> <li>Minimum three (3) years of technical wind industry experience and completion of a Wind Technician training program, OR three (3) years of hands-on experience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical industrial environments </li></ul><ul> <li>Advanced troubleshooting capability with the ability to interpret schematics and train others </li></ul><ul> <li>Demonstrated proficiency with complex tools such as hydraulic rams, inductive heaters, and advanced diagnostic equipment </li></ul><ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including energy isolation and risk mitigation </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to collaborate effectively across crews, support change initiatives, and follow structured supervision </li></ul><ul> <li>Basic computer skills, including navigation of web-based systems and technical documentation </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English </li></ul>Physical &amp; Travel Requirements <ul> <li>Ability to travel 100% and work overtime, including variable schedules, as project demands require </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to climb ladders and stairs 60–125 meters in height </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods </li></ul><ul> <li>Weight restriction of 260 lbs, required to ensure safe use of weight-rated equipment </li></ul>Employment Conditions <ul> <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record </li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a passport </li></ul><ul> <li>Must pass background check and drug screening </li></ul><ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older </li></ul><ul> <li>This is a Safety Sensitive position </li></ul>About Sky Climber Renewables Sky Climber Renewables (SCR) provides specialized field services to the utility-scale wind industry across North America.
