The RoleYou will lead production for Heirloom's San Francisco facility, operate Heirloom's unit operations, and measure the monitor the amount of CO2 we capture from the air we breathe. You will help us operate the infrastructure necessary to scale the technology to the industrial levels necessary to effect global change on our CO2 footprint. Your work has the potential to directly shape our fight against climate change. This is a Full-time Temporary role with scope of work expected to end in ~June 2023.

What you will do

• Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities in our Brisbane, CA facilities.
• Lead and manage a team of operators, including proper shift turnover by providing effective written and oral communication to the relieving shift.
• Read and understand technical procedures and materials. 
• Read and conduct Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Safety Documents, and Manufacturing Instructions
• Monitor and maintain the production processes in a plant manufacturing facility.
• Perform surveillance rounds in operating units to monitor and accurately record process conditions such as temperatures, pressures, and flow rates.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work area between jobs to avoid safety hazards and cross contamination, including pulling samples.
• Move material manually and using a fork lifts.
• Handle powdered materials in a safe and timely manner.

What you will bring

• 5+ years of related industry experience, preferably operating chemical or mechanical processes in a warehouse or on site location.
• Experience supervising operators, including non-exempt staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow company rules regarding the safe handling of hazardous chemicals and must be computer proficient (Internet, Windows 7, Google Drive).
• Fork lift certification preferred.
